Take a Stand, SIT FOR CHANGE
2nd Annual Sit-A-Thon: September 19, 2009
In 3 Simple Steps, YOU can CHANGE the World outside by changing from the inside:
COMMIT
Take A Stand. Burnout doesn’t bring change. Real change begins when the people that work for social change lead healthy, sustainable lives. We know that with more inner awareness comes greater balance, compassion and presence, and working together, agents of social change become more effective in creating a more just, equitable society for all. Commit to the movement for transformative social change by signing up for 108 minutes of inner change at a local event or wherever you are.
PLEDGE
Raise awareness about the power of inner change to affect social change. Spread the word and get pledge support from your family, friends, colleagues and community. Raise or make pledges from $5 to $500 to support a vision for the future and your commitment to real change.
SIT for Change
Gandhi said it best: BE the Change. On September 19th, 2009, the International Day of Peace, locally or virtually, SIT for Change: Meditate. Do Yoga. Do a sit-in. Create your own 108 minutes of change.
YOU join with people, organizations and communities across the nation, in the movement for real change. No matter where you are, you can make a difference.
Take a Stand, SIT FOR CHANGE
“America’s next great movement is an inner one: Without inner change there can be no outer change. Without collective change, no change matters”
